I really enjoy the duality within this poem. It makes it more realistic and more accessible for the reader to connect with it. It is better this way then if the poet had simply made it just positive or negative because life isn't just positive or negative, life is both at the same time. That is how relationships are as well, both positive and negative, which this poem reflects perfectly. I especially liked the lines "you, my love, are my cure,/ but you're also the disease." (9-10) Overall I just really enjoyed this poem, thank you for sharing it with us.
